Cbank keeps liquidity surplus forecast 2020 at 3.4–3.9 tln rbl
MOSCOW, Mar 12 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank has retained the structural liquidity surplus forecast for the end of 2020 at 3.4–3.9 trillion rubles, the authority said in a report on Thursday.
“The forecast for structural liquidity surplus for the end of 2020 was kept at 3.4–3.9 trillion rubles. It can be adjusted later after completion of a planned acquisition of a stake in Sberbank by the government of the Russian Federation with the money from the National Wealth Fund and consequent sales of foreign currency in the framework of the budgetary rule,” the central bank said.
The central bank said on Tuesday that it started preventive foreign currency sales on the domestic market amid weakening of the ruble.
